There are several calculation for calculating final percentage. To clear ILP you must have to secure 55% or above. If the percentage is below 55% (even 54.9%) you will be treated as unsuccessful. In Trivandrum, they calculate 55% in EC1,EC2 and EC3 combined. If you are less, you will have 7 days extension to prepare for EC4 and EC5. There will not be any retest for EC1,EC2 and EC3 in that case. But finally you have to get good marks in EC4 and EC5 such that final percentage becomes 55% or more. If overall percentage (EC1,EC2,EC3,EC4 and EC5 combined) is less than 55% you will have 30 days non-pay extension.
last time at tvm batch TVM16, out of 300, nearly 50 got 7 days extension and at last 2 got 30 days non-pay extension.
suggestion: Try to secure as many marks as you can in EC1, EC2, EC3 and EC4, because it is extremely difficult to secure good marks in EC5 (average marks in EC5: 35%-45%)
